NATO Secretary General to visit the United States The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, will be in Washington on Friday, 27 th October 2006. During his visit he will meet President Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and other Administration officials. The discussions will center on the ongoing operations (especially Afghanistan) and the NATO Summit in Riga (28/29 November 2006). The Secretary General’s schedule is subject to change.
