NATO Secretary General to visit Portugal The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, will travel to Lisbon on Friday 19 May 2006. The Secretary General will meet with the Portuguese President, Mr. Anibal Cavaco Silva, the Prime Minister, Mr. José Socrates, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Diogo Freitas do Amaral, the Minister of Defence, Mr. Luis Amado and the President of the National Assembly, Mr. Jaime Gama. Moreover, the Secretary General will visit NATO Command Group Headquarters in Lisbon.
