NATO Secretary General to visit the United States The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, will be in Washington on 20 th and 21st March 2006. During his visit he will meet President Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, Director of National Intelligence Negroponte and other Administration officials. Moreover, the Secretary General will address the National Press Club and attend a dinner hosted by the Atlantic Council on Monday, 20 th March. On Tuesday, 21 st March he will participate in a Student Outreach Event at the American University in Washington. The Secretary General’s schedule is subject to change.
