NATO Secretary General to visit London to participate in Afghanistan Conference On 31 January, The NATO Secretary General will be in London to participate in the Afghanistan Conference. The Secretary General will Chair the session on Security issues, and present NATO's long-term commitment to Afghanistan 's future. The Secretary General will also participate, later in the day, in a Ministerial-level meeting of the Contact Group, which will address political developments in Kosovo. The Secretary General will also hold bilateral talks with UK Defence Secretary Reid. No media opportunities are planned.
