NATO Secretary General to attend celebration to address the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Assembly of the WEU, Strasbourg, Thursday 23 June 2005 The NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will travel to Strasbourg on Thursday 23 June 2005 to address the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly and the Assembly of the Western European Union (WEU). The latter is meeting in a session commemorating its first meeting fifty years ago. During his visit, the Secretary General will also meet with the President of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly, Mr. René Van Der Linden.
