Media events on Wednesday 8th December

  1. New Event: Signature of the Memorandum of Understanding on the New NATO Headquarters by the NATO Secretary General, M. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, the Belgian Prime Minister, M. Guy Verhofstadt, the Belgian Foreign Minister, M. Karel De Gucht and the Belgian Defence Minister M. André Flahaut – NATO Main Conference Hall.

Media Programme:

1725 hrs Press meeting point in front of the NATO Documentation Office. Open coverage on first-come, first-served basis by visual media to cover the Signature Ceremony.
1745 hrs Signature of Memorandum of Understanding

Accreditation for this event will take place at the NATO Site Entrance until 1745 hrs. However, journalists holding a valid NATO press card need not apply for accreditation. Media representatives already in possession of a Ministerial accreditation will not need additional accreditation.

  1. Palais d’Egmont – Working dinner to celebrate 10th anniversary of the Mediterranean Dialogue
1845 hrs Opening of accreditation desk – Bd de Waterloo 31, Brussels (Back entrance);
1955 hrs Official Group photograph. Open coverage on first-come, first-served basis by visual media in possession of the NATO ministerial media pass;
2000 hrs Opening Remarks by the Secretary General at the Ministerial Working dinner to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Mediterranean dialogue. Restricted pool coverage – visual media only;
2145 hrs Palais d’Egmont Press Room: News conference by the NATO Secretary General – unrestricted coverage by media representatives accredited to the ministerial session.
