Secretary General to visit Finland and Sweden The NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, will travel to Helsinki on 9 September 2004. He will meet President Tarja Halonen, Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen, Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja and Defence Minister Seppo Kaariainen. He will also hold discussions with parliamentarians and deliver a lecture at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. On 10 September the Secretary General will pay a visit to Sweden. He will meet in Stockholm with Prime Minister Goran Persson, Foreign Minister Leila Freivalds and Defence Minister Leni Bjorklund. Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will also meet members of the parliament and give a speech at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs.
