Press Statement by NATO Secretary
General, Lord Robertson, The NATO-Russia Council met today at Ambassadorial level. Ambassadors discussed follow-up to meetings held last month of NRC Foreign and Defence Ministers, and addressed the development of practical NRC cooperation in the area of logistics. They exchanged views on the current situations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Afghanistan and Kosovo. Ambassadors also addressed NRC cooperation in the struggle
against terrorism. They condemned in the strongest terms recent
terrorist attacks in Russia
and Spain. They expressed their deep condolences to the relatives
of those killed in these attacks and full sympathy and solidarity
with the Russian
and Spanish people. They agreed that the recent attacks highlighted
the continuing importance of NATO-Russia co-operation in this
area.
