Member of Jordanian Royal Family briefs NATO meeting HRH Princess Colonel Aisha Al-Hussein, sister of King Abdullah of Jordan visited NATO headquarters in Brussels today to participate in a Mediterranean Dialogue meeting on military co-operation. Princess Aisha is a serving Colonel in the Jordanian army and delivered a presentation on the role of women in the Jordanian armed forces. The meeting involved military representatives, diplomats and defence attaches of NATO nations, and the 7 members of the Mediterranean dialogue. Following her lecture the Princess met with the NATO Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Alessandro Minuto Rizzo. Jordan is a very active member of NATO's Mediterranean Dialogue, and in their 30-minute meeting they discussed a variety of issues, and in particular Ambassador Alessandro Minuto Rizzo welcomed Jordan engagement in peacekeeping operations around the world.
