"NAC SEA DAY" in Alicante on 5 June 2003

At the invitation of the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) General Jones, the North Atlantic Council, NATO Secretary General Lord Robertson, and the NATO Military Committee will travel to Alicante, Spain, on 5 June to observe a demonstration of naval activities conducted by NATO's Standing Naval Force Mediterranean (STANAVFORMED). The Spanish Minister of Defence, Frederico Trillo Figueroa, will be the Guest of Honour.

The sea programme will display the high level of interoperability between NATO's naval forces and the capabilities of NATO’s immediate reaction forces. It will also highlight Operation Active Endeavour, NATO’s maritime contribution to the international fight against terrorism.
