NATO-Russia Consultations on Combatting Terrorism In accordance with the decision of the NATO-Russia Permanent Joint Council, on 2 October ad hoc senior-level NATO-Russia consultations were held on combatting terrorism. The participants exchanged information and views on questions raised by the terrorist attacks of 11 September on the United States of America. They discussed ways and modalities of further consultation and possible cooperation between Russia and NATO in counteracting this global threat to security and stability.
