NATO Secretary General, Dr. Javier Solana, to visit United Kingdom The Secretary General of NATO, Dr. Javier Solana, will visit The United Kingdom on 8th and 9th March, 1999. On Monday, 8th March, he will meet with the Secretary of Defence, Mr. George Robertson at the Ministry of Defence. During his time in London, the Secretary General will meet other senior British officials as well. On Tuesday, 9th March at 9.45 a.m., the Secretary General will address the "NATO at 50" Conference at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in Whitehall.
