Polish runner nears NATO
Information
The Polish runner, Warrant Officer Wojciech Pismenko, will arrive at
NATO on Monday, 7 September, after running some 1,400 kilometres from
Warsaw to mark his country's future membership in the Alliance (see
attached press release of Polish Mission to NATO). WO Pismenko
will
be greeted by the Secretary General, Dr. Javier Solana, and the
Polish Ambassador to NATO, Mr. Andrzej Towpik. His arrival is
expected at 10:30.

Secretary General and Ambassador Towpik. Open coverage on a
first-come, first-served basis.
Immediately followed by award of medal to WO Pismenko by Secretary
General in Private Office. In view of the limited space available,
only a restricted pool will be authorized to cover the ceremony.

Accreditation
Journalists wishing to cover the arrival of WO Pismenko will be
allowed into the NATO premises on presentation of a NATO
accreditation pass or a valid press pass. Photographers and cameramen
