NATO Secretary General and Ambassadors
to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina
The NATO Secretary General, Dr. Javier Solana, and members of the
North Atlantic Council in Permanent Session will visit Sarajevo on 20
April 1998. They will be accompanied by the Chairman of the Military
Committee, General Klaus Naumann, and Supreme Allied Commander Europe
(SACEUR), General Wesley Clark.
They will meet with members of the Presidency of Bosnia and
Herzegovina; opposition political leaders; the High Representative,
Mr. Carlos Westendorp; and representatives of the United Nations
Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the International Police Task
Force, and other international organizations. They will visit SFOR
troops in Butmir, Gorni Vakuf, Tuzla, and Visoko, and will receive
briefings by General Eric Shinseki (COMSFOR) at SFOR Headquarters in
Ilidza.
