NATO Secretary General to visit Italy The Secretary General of NATO, Dr. Javier Solana, will visit Italy on 9-10 November 1997. During his visit, he will meet the President of the Italian Senate, Sen. Nicola Mancino. He will also give the keynote speech at the NATO co-sponsored International Conference with Centro Militare di Studi Strategici (Ce.Mi.S.S.) on "The Future of NATO's Mediterranean Initiative". On this occasion, the report produced by the RAND Corporation on "NATO's Mediterranean Initiative: Policy Issues and Dilemmas" will be formally presented. The Conference will take place at the Italian Army Officer's Club at Palazzo Barberini, in Rome.
