NATO Secretary General to Visit Japan
The Secretary General of NATO, Dr. Javier Solana, will pay a visit to Japan on 15 and 16 October 1997, following an official invitation from the Japanese Government. During his visit, the Secretary General will be received in audience by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan and have meetings with the Prime Minister, Mr. Ryutaro Hashimoto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Keizo Obuchi, The Minister of State and Director-General of the Defence Agency, Mr. Fumio Kyuma, as well as members of the Security Committee of the House of Representatives.
