NATO - Russia Summit

For the NATO-Russia Summit which is to be held in Paris on 27 May 1997, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that an accreditation procedure for members of the French and foreign press is now open.

  1. Journalists permanently accredited to NATO must submit their requests to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris, attaching a copy of the permanent press pass issued by NATO.

  2. Journalists holding a French professional press card and foreign correspondents accredited in France and holding a press card issued by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs must submit their requests to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris, attaching a copy of their press card. Requests from French technical staff not holding press cards must be accompanied by a letter from an editor.

  3. Foreign press journalists not accredited to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs or to NATO must submit their request - to which they must attach a copy of their press card - through the Paris embassy of the country in which their organization is based or, in the case of independent journalists, through the embassy of their country of origin in Paris. Embassies will forward the requests to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris.

Accreditation requests (on the attached form .PDF/8Kb) must be submitted, by 23 May, to:

Accreditation badges may be collected from the Centre de Confrences Internationales, avenue des Portugais, 75016 Paris, between 09.00 and 19.00 on 25 May.

Parking of technical vehicles close to the Centre de Confrences Internationales is controlled. Subject to availability, appropriate parking permits will be issued at the same time as accreditation badges to press organizations that have requested them.

Further details regarding the press centre at the Centre de Confrences Internationales will be given in a supplementary press release. The press centre will be open on 26 and 27 May.
