The Secretary General of NATO meets President Kuchma The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Javier Solana, met the President of Ukraine, Mr. Leonid Kuchma, today in Davos (Switzerland). They had a very positive meeting, during which the development of NATO-Ukrainian relations and the European security situation was discussed. Mr. Kuchma invited the Secretary General to Kiev, to the opening of the NATO information office, scheduled for later this year, and Mr. Solana accepted the invitation. While in Davos, Mr. Solana als met the Russian Prime Minister, Mr. Victor Chernomyrdin, to discuss the relations between Russia and NATO.
