Agreed Statement by the Secretary General of NATO and the Foreign Minister of Russia on the Visit of the Secretary General to Moscow On January 20th, Foreign Minister Yevgeni Primakov and the Secretary General of NATO, Javier Solana, met in Moscow to begin consultations on the relationship of Russia and NATO. The meeting proceeded successfully; however, different approaches exist on a range of issues. Discussions will continue in order to reach a common position. A schedule for further work has been set up. This will not be an easy process but both sides will strive to make it a success.
