Farewell to Admiral Smith,
17 July 1996
Admiral Smith, Commander in Chief Allied Forces Southern Region and COMIFOR,
is retiring in 1996. The Secretary General of NATO, Dr. Javier Solana, will present the
NATO medal to Admiral Smith and bid him farewell at a short ceremony at NATO
Headquarters on Wednesday, 17 July 1996. The ceremony will take place outside the main
entrance to NATO Headquarters.
