NATO Secretary General to visit the United States The Secretary General of NATO, Mr.Javier Solana, will visit the United States from Saturday 22th June to Friday 28th June. During the first part of the visit, in Washington, Mr. Solana will have meetings with the Secretary of State Warren Christopher; the Secretary of Defense William Perry, the National Security Advisor Anthony Lake and other Administration officials. He will also meet leading members of the Congress, including members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Senate Armed Services Committee, the Senate Defence Appropriations Subcommittee, the House International Relations Committee, the House National Security Committee and the House Appropriations Committee. On Wednesday 26th June, Mr. Solana will depart to Norfolk (Virginia), to attend the annual seminar organized by SACLANT, the Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic.
