A conference “NATO: challenges and transformation. A view from Ukraine”
On 04-05 November 2009, the NATO Information and Analytical Centre, located in the building of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in western Ukraine’s Ivano-Frankivsk, with the support of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine will conduct the second scholarly conference “NATO: challenges and transformation. A view from Ukraine”.
The conference is aimed at sharing the unbiased information about the Alliance’s activities and NATO-Ukraine relations as well as discussing plans for future activities of the Euro-Atlantic regional centres in Ukraine.
Due to the VTC capacity, the participants will have a chance to communicate with the NATO HQ representatives and analyze a new NATO Strategic Concept and its role in establishing peace and stability in the crisis regions.
Directors of regional centres of Euro-Atlantic integration, experts, state officials and students have been invited to participate. Furthermore, the conference will also host a session of the Interdepartmental Work Group on Information Issues which is part of the Interdepartmental Commission on Ukraine’s Preparation for NATO Membership.
