Declaration On Terrorism

The Foreign Ministers and Representatives of Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, the Federal Republic of Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy. Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, referring to their previous declarations on the condemnation, prevention and suppression of all acts of terrorism including attacks on the personnel of diplomatic and consular missions and their premises, reiterated their deep concern over the suffering inflicted on innocent people as well as the negative impact such criminal offenses have on international relations. They noted with deep regret the continuation of this process in various forms in spite of their previous appeals. Thus condemning energetically these activities as a flagrant violation of human dignity and rights, they stressed the need for more co-operation in this field. Ministers also underlined their determination to continue to take all necessary measures to ensure effectively the security of all official representatives and persons participating on their territories in activities within the scope of diplomatic, consular and other official relations.
