Radio Free Europe – Atlantic Treaty Association Leadership Forum

On November 21, 2002, approximately 180 university and graduate-level students from 37 European countries attending the Prague Atlantic Student Summit (PASS) will participate in a Leadership Forum at the Radio Free Europe/ Radio Liberty headquarters in Prague.

Organized by RFE/RL and the Atlantic Treaty Association, this Leadership Forum will provide opportunities for the successor generation to exchange opinions with the top political leaders of countries that are likely to become Alliance members in the current and future rounds of NATO enlargement. Together they will discuss the challenges facing the Alliance and the transatlantic relationship, as well as their views of the desirable future development of Europe as a political and international actor.

The president of Latvia, Vaira Vike-Freiberga, will participate in the Leadership Forum in one of her first appearances after the announcement of which states will be invited to join NATO. President Alfred Moisiu of Albania, President Stjepan Mesic of Croatia, and President Boris Trajkovski of Macedonia will also participate in the Forum, along with other national and alliance leaders.
