NATO-TV to provide Extensive Coverage of
NATO 50th Anniversary Summit
WASHINGTON, D.C. - NATO-TV will provide extensive television coverage of public events at the Summit from Friday, April 23, 1999 until Sunday, April 25, 1999. NATO-TV is a service of the 19 nations of NATO, with the assistance of the NATO 50th Anniversary Summit Host Committee.
Accredited news organizations and related audiences will have access to NATO-TV material, including live feeds, for unlimited, rights-free usage. NATO-TV will distribute its video signal at the International Media Center (IMC) through a matrix switcher, and via satellite worldwide. NATO-TV may also be viewed throughout the International Media Center at the Reagan Building.
NATO-TV will provide a mixed feed as well as isolated camera coverage of Summit events. This includes live and videotaped coverage of all Summit briefings and press conferences in the International Trade Center briefing rooms.
NATO-TV feeds of summit events will allow media producer's complete flexibility to tailor their coverage to their needs. Historic stock-footage of highlights from NATO's first fifty years will be offered regularly throughout NATO-TV programming and on cassette at the IMC. NATO-TV will provide finished programs related to NATO history and activities as well as profiles of the participating leaders and their countries.
Audio of all official events will be provided in French, English and international sound.
