Overlooking the beach, this restaurant serves typical Portuguese seafood dishes,
including grilled monkfish, salmon and clams. Price range: 3,000 - 4,500$00

Runa. Rua Cais Herculano, tel. 51 20 94.
Set in a restored early 19th-century building, Runa is one of the best restaurants
in town. Specialties of the house are fresh fish and seafood. Rooms are set aside

Almancil

Chameleon is a pleasant, simply decorated restaurant with a small menu that is
heavily influenced by Indonesian-style cuisine. Close on Mondays. Price range:

Ibrico. Estrada Almancil, Vale do Lobo, Tel. 39 40 66
Located near the vast Vale do Lobo complex south of Almancil, this place is full
of character and features an eclectic menu, whith such dishes as smoked
swordfish with horseradish sauce and cannelloni Ibrico (Iberian style) Close at

Aux Bons Enfants offers French cuisine and an excellent selection of French
and Portuguese wines from 1945 up to the present day. Closed at lunch and on

O Tradicional. Estrada da Fonte Santa, Escanxinas. Tel. 39 90 93.
This excelent restaurant, south of Almancil, serves specialities like steak in
Roquefort cheese sauce or duck breast with orange. Closed at lunch and on
Sundays. Price range: over 6,000$00.

Loul

Bica Velha. Rua Martim Moniz, 17-19. Tel. 46 33 76.
The oldest house in Loul, dating from 1816, is the setting for this rustic,
family-run restaurant. Specialties include lamb kebab, pork chop with apple sauce,
and orange mousse for dessert. Closed on Sundays. Price range: 2,000 - 3,000$00.

Casa dos Arcos. Rua de S Miranda, 23-5, Tel. 41 67 13.
Set in Loul's historic center, this restaurant is popular with tourists and locals alike.
It serves good-quality seafood specialties and meat dishes. Closed Sundays. Price
