Miroslawa Boryczka is the Financial Controller of the NATO International Staff as of 4 November 2019. The International Staff Office of Financial Control is an independent office in charge of accounting, budget control, treasury, procurement and internal control functions for NATO Headquarters.

Ms. Boryczka is personally responsible for the correct use of international appropriated and non-appropriated funds made available to the Organisation, in particular for the NATO Civil Budget, the Pension systems and a number of Trust Funds.

Prior to joining the International staff Ms. Boryczka served as Senior Policy Advisor at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, in Paris. Ms. Boryczka ‘s career has included being Director General of three ministries  in Poland (Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Science), Deputy Treasurer of the City of Warsaw, Member of the Supervisory Board of PKO Bank Polski and CFO of Polish Social Security Institution.

Ms. Boryczka is a graduate of the National School of Public Administration, Warsaw and holds a Master’s degree from Jagiellonian University, Cracow. She also studied economics at the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Of Polish mother tongue, Ms. Boryczka is also fluent in English and she speaks French and Spanish.
