Lieutenant General Andrzej Fałkowski

Andrzej Fałkowski, Lieutenant General, Polish MOD, earned a B.A. from the Military Academy of Logistics in Poznań (1982), his M.A. from the University of Gdańsk (1985), and Ph.D. from the University of Łódź (1997), all in Economics.  He also completed Postgraduate Studies in Military Economics at the Economics Faculty of the Military Academy of Politics (1988). LTG Fałkowski has attended several international courses.

LTG Fałkowski’s assignments include e.g. Deputy Director of the MOD Economic Department (1996-1998) and Counselor in the Delegation of the Republic of Poland to NATO and WEU in Brussels (1998–2003). Following return to Poland, he assumed the post of Deputy Head of the Strategic Planning Directorate – J5 of the Polish Armed Forces General Staff (2003-2006).  He served as Head of the MOD Budgetary Department and the Financial Controller of the MOD (2006-2008) and later as Director Logistics and Resources Division in the International Military Staff, NATO HQ in Brussels (2008-2011). LTG Fałkowski was then assigned as Defense, Military, Naval and Air Attaché of Poland to the USA in Washington D.C. (2011-2013).  Following this assignment he served as Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces. Since June 2014 he was appointed as the Polish Military Representative to the NATO and EU Military Committees. 

During his last NATO assignment he was the Chairman of the NATO Defence Manpower Committee, Deputy Co–Chairman of the NATO Logistics Committee, Military Committee representative on the Resource Policy and Planning Board, Investment Committee and Budget Committee, Military Committee representative to the Conference of National Armaments Directors, Co-Vice Chairman and Military Committee representative in the Research and Technology (R&T) Board. He was also co-chairing NATO Standardization Committee.

LTG Fałkowski served as visiting academic lecturer at the National Defence Academy, and supervisor of M.A. and B.A. candidates (1997–1998) and supervisor for B.A. candidates at College for Entrepreneurial Activities from (2006-2008). LTG Fałkowski was a guest speaker at the NATO School in Oberammergau for the Resource Management Education Program Course in 2000 and Senior Officers Defence Policy Course (2010 & 2011), National Defence Academy in Warsaw (2001 & 2007), Kiev Academy of General Staff  (2002), State School of Public Administration in Warsaw (2005),  Baltic Defence College in Tartu, Estonia (2009 -2011), Moscow Academy of General Staff of Russian Federation (2010), Université  Libre de Bruxelles (2010), National Defense University in Washington D.C. (2012), American University (2013), NATO Defense College (2015) and moderator or keynote speaker for a number of other seminars.

LTG Andrzej Fałkowski is married to Marlena and has two adult children.
