Visit of NATO Deputy Secretary General to Israel

On 19 and 20 June 2012 the Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Ambassador Alexander Vershbow paid an official visit to the State of Israel for bilateral meetings with senior government officials in the framework of the Mediterranean Dialogue partnership of which Israel has been a very active member since 1994.

During the visit to Israel, Ambassador Vershbow met at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the Director General Ambassador Rafael Barak, the Political Director Ambassador Ran Curiel, the Head of the Division of Europe Ambassador Rafael Schutz and the Head of the Center for Policy Research Ambassador David Walzer.

The NATO Deputy Secretary General’s talks in Jerusalem also included meetings with the Deputy Head of the National Security Council Dr. Eran Lerman, with the Director for Political and Military Affairs at the Ministry of Defense Major General Amos Gilad and with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Knesset Mr. Ronnie Bar-On.
