NATO Deputy Secretary General to discuss NATO 2030 at an Atlantic Council event (online event)

On Friday, 11 December 2020, the NATO Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Mircea Geoană will take part in an Atlantic Council event, to discuss bold ideas for NATO’s future. This is part of a NATO-sponsored project to reach out to new audiences in the United States and engage them on the NATO story.

The event will start with a discussion between the Deputy Secretary General and Mr. Damon Wilson, Executive Vice President of the Atlantic Council.

Their conversation will be followed by a panel session, including NATO Assistant Secretary General Ms. Baiba Braže, during which policy-makers and NATO experts will react to short video pitches by some of the authors of the recent volume of essays “NATO 20/2020: Twenty bold ideas to reimagine the Alliance after the 2020 US election”, published by the Atlantic Council in the context of the NATO Secretary General’s NATO 2030 project.
