Algerian journalists visit NATO Headquarters
This week (5-6 March 2019), Algerian journalists and editors visited NATO Headquarters, as part of the Alliance’s public diplomacy efforts in the framework of the Mediterranean Dialogue.
NATO officials briefed the members of the press on various topics, including NATO’s partnership frameworks, the Sciences for Peace and Security programme, NATO-Russia relations, NATO missions and counter-terrorism efforts and the Alliance’s approach to countering hybrid threats.
The group also met with NATO’s Press & Media team to exchange views on NATO’s relations with the media, and the various ways in which journalists from partners countries can access information and cover NATO news.
The discussions held were open and dynamic, focusing on NATO’s approach to North Africa, current relations between Algerian and NATO, and future prospects for increased levels of cooperation.
