Release of the NATO Secretary General's Annual Report for 2018

The Secretary General will hold a press conference at NATO Headquarters on Thursday 14 March 2019 at 11:15 to release his Annual Report for 2018.

The press conference will be followed at 12:00 by a reception offered by the Secretary General to all media representatives.

Coverage and distribution

The press conference will be available in original sound, English, French, and Russian worldwide on satellite and live on www.nato.int. Original sound, as well as an English, French, and Russian version will be available on the NATO website after the event.

Attendance confirmation

This is an event for media representatives. Those media representatives wishing to attend are kindly requested to confirm their presence by email NatoAccreditations@hq.nato.int and type SG AR in the subject line of the message.

Deadline: not later than Wednesday 13 March 2019 at 12:00 noon.

Shuttle bus from Schuman area

A shuttle bus will be departing at 10:00 from the corner of rue de la Loi and av. de la Joyeuse Entrée (in front of the entrance to Parc du Cinquentenaire). The shuttle will later return from NATO HQ, departing at 12:45.

Accreditation

Media permanently accredited at NATO

Media representatives in possession of permanent NATO media pass can access to the NATO HQ directly by tapping their badge at the turnstiles (NATO HQ Guard House South - GHS, media entrance, NATO Headquarters, Boulevard Leopold III 1110).

Ad-hoc accreditation (day-pass)

Media representatives not permanently accredited and wishing to attend the event will need to request ad-hoc accreditation directly at the main entrance of NATO HQ on 14 March 2019, starting from 09:00 (Brussels time). They will have to present a proof of ID/passport and a valid press card (provided by a recognised national professional body of a NATO country – i.e. Government, Professional association, Union of journalists).

Media representatives not in possession of a valid press card are invited to send a signed letter from their editor to the NATO Accreditation Office to NatoAccreditations@hq.nato.int not later than Wednesday 13 March 2019 at 12:00 noon.

Security Procedures

A security check will take place and all equipment and personal effects carried onto the site will be examined by security personnel. Media representative are therefore encouraged to arrive with sufficient lead time to allow for security proceedings.
