NATO leaders together with counterparts from 28 ISAF partner nations opened the Alliance’s two-day Summit in Wales on Thursday (4 September 2014) by paying tribute to the men and women from Afghan and international forces who served in Afghanistan and other operations. “NATO is the world’s most powerful Alliance and it will remain so because of the bravery, skill and determination of you, of our service men and women, and the valuable partners who stand with us,” said NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
