16 NATO Allies and partners take part in exercise BALTOPS 22
Fourteen NATO allies along with two NATO partner nations, Finland and Sweden, are currently participating in the exercise Baltic Operations (BALTOPS 22) with over 45 ships, more than 75 aircraft and 7,500 personnel.

NATO engages with partners to help shape the next Strategic Concept
On 31 January 2022, NATO hosted a workshop that brought Allies and 37 partner countries together to share views and ideas for the next Strategic Concept. The world has fundamentally changed in the past decade so the time has come to update the Strategic Concept, which is second only to the Alliance’s founding treaty as a source of guidance for NATO’s strategy and initiatives.

The Chairman of the NATO Military Committee commends Japan for long-term Partnership
During his visit to Japan, the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach met with the Japanese Vice Minister of Defence Kenji Harada, the Chief of Defence, General Yamazaki and the Commandants of the Joint Staff College, Lieutenant General Kiyoda, Lieutenant General Iwaya, Vice Admiral Inui and Lieutenant General Nagashima.

Secretary General welcomes President of Colombia to NATO
Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed President Iván Duque Márquez of Colombia to NATO headquarters on Tuesday (23 October 2018) for talks on strengthening the cooperation between Colombia and the Alliance. Colombia is NATO’s first partner in Latin America. “Our cooperation is good for Colombia and it is good for NATO,” said the Secretary General.

NATO Deputy Secretary General underscores importance of Asia-Pacific partnerships
Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller stressed the importance of NATO’s partners in the Asia-Pacific region at the seventh NATO Asia-Pacific Dialogue in Brussels on Monday (16 October 2017). The Dialogue is organized annually by NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (Foundation), and was hosted by the Atlantic Treaty Association.
