North Atlantic Council visits KFOR, confirming NATO’s commitment to Kosovo

Led by NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller, the North Atlantic Council (NAC) is visiting KFOR on Friday (27 October 2017). NATO Ambassadors, joined by representatives of the non-NATO KFOR contributing nations and the European Union, met with the Commander of KFOR, Major General Giovanni Fungo, the Director of the NATO Advisory and Liaison Team Brigadier General Ralf Hoffmann, Mr. Rrustem Berisha, responsible for the Kosovo Security Forces, and with the other international organisations present in Kosovo (the United Nations, the EU and the OSCE).

Secretary General discusses NATO-Russia Council

The NATO-Russia Council met on Thursday (26 October 2017) in Brussels, for the third time this year. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who chaired the meeting, noted that Allies and Russia had an open and useful exchange on three topics: Ukraine, Afghanistan and transparency and risk reduction. “Our dialogue is not easy, but that is exactly why our dialogue is so important,” he stressed.

NATO Secretary General: Bosnia and Herzegovina is a highly valued NATO partner

NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, welcomed the Chairman of the Tri-Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Dragan Čović, to NATO Headquarters today (24 October 2017). Mr. Stoltenberg thanked Bosnia and Herzegovina for its commitment to international security, including its contributions to NATO’s Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan.
