THE NATO TEAM

The current NATO EODASTT comprises of an 8 man team of military personnel and specialist civilian consultants. Four NATO nations are currently represented on the Team - USA, UK, Italy and Denmark. The team work together to advise and capacity-build in the areas of EOD and ammunition management.


THE ALBANIAN TEAM

The NATO ASDIT was deployed to Albania in late 1998 to train selected Albanian officers in Conventional Munition Disposal (CMD) techniques. As a result of this training and advice, the Albanian Ministry of Defence has formed an indigenous EOD organisation to deal with the challenging problem of the UXO contaminated "Hot Spots".


Colonel SALILLARI, Chief Engineer, (Albanian Armed Forces)

Colonel SALILLARI is the Chief Army Engineer and the EOD organisation falls within his command.
Lt Col MIFTARI, Chief EOD, (Albanian Armed Forces)

LTC MIFTARI was top student on the original NATO ASDIT CMD training course held in 1998 and as a result was selected to be the Chief of the new AAF EOD organisation.
Major BRAHA, Deputy Chief EOD, (Albanian Armed Forces)

Major BRAHA is also a graduate of the NATO EODASTT CMD training course. He is currently appointed Director of the Albanian Mines Action Executive (AMAE) and has assumed technical responsibility for the execution if the Albania Mines Action Plan.
Lieutenant Colonel BAZO, Technical Translator, (Albanian Armed Forces)

Lieutenant Colonel BAZO is the Technical Translator for the EOD element of the NATO EODASTT.
