Public Affairs Conference
30 September – 3 October 2008

This year’s annual NATO Military Public Affairs Conference will take place between the 1st and 3rd of October 2008 at the SANA Metropolitan in Lisbon, Portugal. It will be hosted by Allied Command Operation’s Public Affairs Office and co-sponsored by Allied Command Transformation Public Affairs Office in Norfolk, Virginia.

The conference theme will be “Integrating and Advancing NATO’s message” and will include sessions on Integrating New Media, the Rise of Strategic Communications and the Relationship with Public Affairs and Effective Strategic Communications.

The conference is open to military and civilian personnel working in ACO and ACT Public Affairs and Strategic Communication.

Rooms at the SANA Metropolitan are available at special conference rates. Single occupancy rooms at 95 Euros per night, doubles at 105 Euros per night. Breakfast buffet, tax and local service charges are included. The rate will also be available for any reservations related to the event 3 days prior and three days after the conference for those who would like to extend their stay.

The hotel booking form is to be returned directly to the SANA Metropolitan, fax number and email address are included in the booking form.  Rooms for the conference will only be held until 31 August 2008.  Reservation forms received by the hotel after this date will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.
