SFOR Releases Rajko Banduka
SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina - At approximately 2130 last night, Mr. Banduka was released from SFOR custody in Bijeljina.
SFOR detained Mr. Banduka for questioning in relation to his previous position as the Aide to General Mladic and to investigate allegations of activity contrary to the Dayton Agreement.
Such operations, including detentions, fall within the legal mandate of SFOR. The operations are carried out to support the efforts of the ICTY to bring those Persons Indicted For War Crimes (PIFWCs) to justice at the Hague Tribunal. SFOR will continue to investigate all possible links to the PIFWC support network.
