Biography Lieutenant General William E. WARD

Lieutenant General William E. (Kip) Ward is the Commander, Stabilisation Force, Operation Joint Forge, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Lieutenant General Ward was commissioned as a Regular Army officer on June 6, 1971. His military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the United States Army Command and General Staff College and the United States Army War College. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Morgan State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University.
His military service has included overseas tours in South Korea, Germany, Somalia during Operation Restore Hope and Egypt as Chief, Office of the Military Cooperation coupled with a wide variety of assignments in the United States, to include Alaska and Hawaii.
