Mission of the Slovak Republic to NATO, Brussels
  Dear visitors,

The one of the main priority of foreign policy of the Slovak Republic since its foundation is to be a member of NATO. Therefore, Slovakia from the beginning has actively participated in all NATO activities related to reach that goal. Slovakia has been among the first states that signed the PfP Program and it is with other nations the founder of EAPC. Slovakia actively participates in all activities posed by these initiatives in the political means and military as well.
Additional input of crucial importance in our efforts to preparation for future NATO membership is MAP. Our country is using all opportunities of this framework in order to be ready to join NATO when Allies decide to extend next invitations. We hope it will be soon and our hopes are focusing to the next NATO summit „which will be held no later than 2002".
The Slovak Mission to NATO provides the contact point between NATO and Slovakia in all NATO and Partnership areas. The new website of the Slovak Mission to NATO should therefore help all visitors to provide relevant information concerning Slovakia´s ambitions and on its all range of activities towards NATO and its security policy.
Delegation of the Slovak Mission to NATO also represents the Slovak Republic at WEU, so you can find information related to Slovakia and WEU relation on this website as well.

So, please, be welcome at website of Slovak Mission to NATO.

Ambassador, Head of Mission
