Policy and Co-ordination Branch

The Policy & Coordination (P&C) Branch is responsible for developing NATO policies and procedures related to standardization; coordinating the development of the NATO Standardization Programme; liaising, as necessary, with the staff of other NATO Bodies involved in standardization and the Strategic Commands; providing staff support to the NCS, NATO Committee for Standardization Representatives (NCSREPs) and NATO Standardization Staff Group (NSSG) meetings including the secretariat for the NCSREPs meetings; and monitoring and assisting in the development of standardization requirements related to Partnership Goals.

The Branch includes the Terminology Coordinator who is responsible for the promotion of standardized NATO terminology in English and French.

The Policy & Coordination Branch also includes a Civil Standards Section which is the focal point in NATO for liaison with Civil Standards Organizations and which will identify applicable civil Standards that may have relevance to NATO standardization activities.
