The Afghan National Army (ANA) Trust Fund

The ANA Trust Fund is a key component of NATO’s support to the build-up of an Afghan National Army that is effective, self-sufficient and sustainable. Established initially in 2007 to help finance the transportation and installation of equipment donated by ISAF nations to the ANA, the scope of the Trust Fund was broadened in March 2009 to allow contributions by the broader International Community in support of the ANA sustainment.
