NATO’s Military Committee visits NAMSA
Brussels - 14 June 2010 - Today the NATO’s Military Committee paid a working visit to the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA) in Capellen, Luxembourg.
Welcoming the NATO Military Committee, NAMSA General Manager Antonios Chatzidakis emphasized the role of NAMSA as NATO’s Logistic Centre of Excellence and the important contribution the Agency can make to balancing Alliance resources and requirements.
During his opening remarks, Admiral Di Paola, praised the Agency’s experience and acknowledged the importance of NAMSA’s mission: “NAMSA has the know-how to enhance our capabilities in support of Alliance operations and missions by achieving maximum effectiveness in logistics support at a minimum cost to our Nations.”
The Military Committee was briefed and informed by NAMSA Directors Mr. Steven Bernett, Mr. John Faulconer, Mr. Dimitrios Petridis and Mr. Luciano Pizziolo on multinational logistics, operations support and NAMSA’s role in the NATO Multinational Helicopter Initiative (NMHI).
