On 15-16 June NATO's Public Diplomacy Division organised a high-level visit to NATO of members of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee headed by its Chairman, Dr. Yuval Steinitz, and of members of the Atlantic Forum of Israel, headed by its Chairman, Dr. Uzi Arad.

During the two day visit, the members of the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee met with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and other high-level NATO officials to discuss current developments in the enhanced Mediterranean Dialogue and the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, launched at the 2004 Istanbul Summit.
