Opening Remarks by NATO Secretary General, Lord Robertson Good morning and a warm welcome to Minister Kuzmuk and his delegation. Let me begin by underscoring the great importance I attach personally to the NATO-Ukraine relationship. I would also like to thank the Minister for the support Ukraine has given the Alliance in Bosnia and now Kosovo. We know that economic and political circumstances in Ukraine require a particular effort on the part of the Government to sustain this contribution and we appreciate this effort. Nous avons bien progressé ces quelques dernières années. Mais il reste encore beaucoup à accomplir et j'espère qu'au cours de cette réunion nous donnerons une impulsion supplémentaire à notre coopération dans des domaines clé comme celui de la réforme de la défense. Nos travaux au sein de la Commission OTAN-Ukraine se poursuivent dans le cadre de la stratégie d'intégration aux structures européennes et euroatlantiques choisie par l'Ukraine et qui est fondamentale pour la stabilité et la prospérité de notre continent.
