Workshop Goals

NATO and the Partnership for Peace countries play a critical role in the expanding number of multinational peacekeeping and other military missions. This workshop will identify techniques for increasing psychological support for troops across all phases of a mission, including preparation, training, sustainment and redeployment. Special attention is paid to identifying the nature of the stress threat, and applying new information technologies (such as Internet) to (a) provide direct training and support to enhance the psychological readiness and resiliency of troops, and (b) maximize international cooperative exchanges for training and psychological support on multinational operations.
