Военнослужащие НАТО посещают с визитом Пекин для обсуждения операции по борьбе с пиратством

Военнослужащие из Командования ВМС НАТО в Нортвуде, Великобритания, посетили на прошлой неделе Пекин и приняли участие в международной встрече, организованной Министерством обороны Китая и посвященной борьбе с пиратством. Целью встречи было усиление международной координации действий ВМС во всем мире для защиты кораблей от нападений пиратов в Аденском заливе и у берегов Сомали.
Помимо сотрудников НАТО офицеры Военно-морских сил ЕС (ВМС ЕС) и Объединенных военно-морских сил, базирующихся в Бахрейне, а также военные представители Индии, Японии, Пакистана и России подтвердили важность обмена информацией о деятельности пиратов в регионе.
