Во вторник (4 июня 2013 г.), перед началом встречи министров обороны стран НАТО Генеральный секретарь НАТО Андерс Фог Расмуссен заявил, что союзники приняли решение направить делегацию экспертов в Ливию, чтобы определить области, в которых НАТО могла бы оказать содействие. «На прошлой неделе правительство Ливии запросило у НАТО совет в области безопасности. Мы незамедлительно отреагировали», – сказал Генеральный секретарь.
