Guidelines for Applicants & Application Forms
Following the recent restructuring of the SPS Programme, the following mechanisms have been abolished: Collaborative Linkage Grants (CLG), Advanced Networking Workshops (ANW) and Networking Infrastructure Grants (NIG).
Support mechanisms available under the SPS Programme
The support mechanisms which are available for top-down and bottom-up activities, are the following:
A. Projects
Multi-year Projects (Science for Peace - SfP) |
grants to collaborate on multi-year applied R&D projects offering support to cover project-related costs such as scientific equipment, computers, software and training of project personnel. Click here for countries eligible to participate.

B. Training
Advanced Study Institutes (ASI): |
grants to organise high-level tutorial courses to convey the latest developments in a subject of relevance to NATO to an advanced-level audience.

Advanced Training Courses (ATC): |
designed to enable specialists in NATO countries to share their security-related expertise with trainees from NATO's partner countries.

grants to organise expert workshops where advanced-level, intensive discussions aim at finding solutions for today's security challenges.

NATO-Russia
Applications for NATO-Russia scientific cooperation that are focused on the priority topics of the NATO Russia Council Committee on Science for Peace and Security (NRC(SPS)) should be submitted using the above application forms. Applicants should indicate on the form which priority under the NRC(SPS) Action Plan 2010-2012 their application is addressing.
