05 Jul. 2012		Afghan and Central Asian Members of Parliament work to strengthen cooperation On 5 July 2012, a group of 14 parliamentarians from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan visited NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. The visit - organised by NATO Public Diplomacy Division - was part of a long-standing programme of cooperation in the field of public diplomacy between the Alliance and these countries. The group met with representatives of the Diplomatic Corps, as well as with members of the International Staff, including Ambassador Dirk Brengelmann, Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy.
30 May. 2011 - 31 May. 2011		Central Asian parliamentarians visit NATO NATO's cooperation with Central Asian republics and the NATO-led efforts to stabilise Afghanistan were high on the agenda during a visit paid by a group of members of parliament from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan to NATO Headquarters in Brussels on 30 and 31 May.
10 May. 2011 - 13 May. 2011		Senior NATO official holds high-level meetings in Central Asia James Appathurai, the Deputy Assistant Secretary General (DASG) for Political and Security Policy and NATO Special Representative for Central Asia visited Kyrgystan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan from 10 to 13 May, his first visit to the region since taking up his new post.
25 Oct. 2010		President of Kazakhstan meets with NATO Secretary General The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev visited NATO's Headquarters on Monday, 25 October and met with Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. They discussed the growing bilateral cooperation between NATO and Kazakhstan, in particular in the defence reform area.
27 Jan. 2010		Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan visits NATO The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabayev, visited the NATO Headquarters and met with the Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen. During their discussion, they talked about Kazakhstan’s priorities for 2010 as the country holding the Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
24 Jun. 2009 - 25 Jun. 2009		EAPC security forum opens in Astana Today, on Wednesday, 24th June 2009, the third Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC) Security Forum will open in Astana, Kazakhstan. For two days the Forum will bring together high level representatives from NATO and Partner countries, as well as representatives of other international organisations, special guests (including from Afghanistan), academics, businessmen and journalists.

24 Jun. 2009 - 25 Jun. 2009		Science for Peace and Security information day in Kazakhstan An information day on NATO’s Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme took place on 24 June 2009 at Al-Farabi University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The event was planned to coincide with the Euro Atlantic Partnership Council Security Forum held in Astana on 24 and 25 June 2009.

15 Sep. 2008 - 27 Sep. 2008		NATO and Kazakhstan hold peacekeeping exercise The joint peacekeeping exercise "Steppe Eagle 2008" was held near Almaty from 15 to 27 September with the participation of troops from the United States and UK. The annual drill is meant to improve the commanders’ coordination skills and to evaluate the readiness of the Kazakh peacekeeping units to take part in NATO-led operations.
